Dr Jones is a Cardiothoracic Anaesthetist and Intensivist, and has been Clinical Lead for Intensive Care since 2014.

After undertaking pre-clinical training at Cambridge University, Dr Jones completed her clinical undergraduate training at Oxford University and initial postgraduate training in London before specialising in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Intensive Care. She worked at several prestigious London Cardiac Centres, including The Royal Brompton Hospital, the Heart Hospital, and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, before starting as a Consultant at Papworth in 2011.

Dr Jones' clinical interests include Critical Care Ultrasound, enhanced recovery after cardiothoracic surgery, peri-operative haemostasis, and quality indicators in Cardiothoracic Intensive Care. 

Other interests include patient safety and teaching, and Dr Jones is the Co-Director of Studies for Clinical Medicine, Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge, and an Associate Lecturer at the University of Cambridge.
