Dr Anna Kydd graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2003. She completed her general medical training in Birmingham and her cardiology subspecialty training in Cambridge at Addenbrooke’s and Papworth Hospitals. She was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the University of Cambridge in 2016 following a period of research into the role of echocardiography in guiding cardiac resynchronisation therapy for patients with heart failure. She completed a fellowship in cardiac MRI in London at the Heart Hospital and Barts Hospital. Her areas of interest are advanced heart failure, heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support and cardiac imaging. She has obtained European Society of Cardiology Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Accreditation to level 3 and British society of Echocardiography accreditation in transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography.

Dr Kydd was appointed a Consultant Cardiologist at Papworth in 2016. She works as part of a multi-disciplinary team looking after patients with advanced heart failure, patients who have undergone heart transplant and patients who are supported with ventricular assist devices.
