The ILD unit at Royal Papworth Hospital provides a service to diagnose and manage patients who are suspected to have diseases which cause damage to the lung tissue (called the ‘interstitium’). These include conditions such as Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), Sarcoidosis, Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis, Connective Tissue Diseases (e.g. Rheumatoid or SLE), NSIP and cystic lung diseases.
