We recognise that a traditional face-to-face appointment isn't always convenient. Sometimes it is possible to have a video consultation from home rather than travelling to the hospital.
If your appointment is going to be carried out as a video consultation rather than a face-to-face attendance, this will be clear when the appointment is booked and we will send you details of the date and time and how to join.
Virtual Outpatient Waiting Area
Attend Anywhere works on a PC, Mac or an iOS/Android device, using either a Google Chrome or Apple Safari browser. Attend Anywhere will not work on Internet Explorer 11. You can download Google Chrome or Safari for free. There is no need to create an account.
You will also need:
• A good connection to the internet – if you can watch a video online (eg, YouTube) you can make a video call
• A private, well-lit area where you will not be disturbed during the consultation
Please try a test call to check your set up is working correctly before your appointment time. To do this, select the Start video call button below; you will then see an option to make a test call.
On the date and time of your appointment you can enter the virtual waiting area by clicking the Start video call button below and then selecting Start video call again.
Once you are in the virtual waiting area, one of our clinic administrators will greet you and check your details. Your consultant or clinician will be notified when you arrive and they will join you in the virtual clinic when they are ready.
Only patients who have been invited to attend their appointment by video will be seen in this way - all other patients should follow the information provided regarding attending their appointment.
