KnowledgeShare finds updates on your chosen topics and emails them to you on a fortnightly basis. KnowledgeShare provides top quality evidence summaries, giving you what you need to know in an accessible format.
How does it work?
Your KnowledgeShare profile is created to be as broad or as specific as you need. For example, you could receive updates on all cardiovascular diseases or limit results to just pulmonary embolism. N.B. Results will relate to conditions rather than interventions.

Registration
You must be a library services member and have an NHS OpenAthens account to receive current awareness. Please register to join the library and register for OpenAthens if you have not already done so.
How will you use my contact details?
We will use your email address to send you evidence updates. We will also use your information to contact you about (but not limited to): library services and events, to gather feedback about using Knowledgeshare and your Knowledgeshare account.
How can I see the data you hold on me?
You may log in to Knowledgeshare using your NHS OpenAthens account at any time to see the data we hold about you.
How long will we keep your data?
We will keep your data for the length of your library membership which will end when you leave the Trust. We will unassign you from our library service on Knowledgeshare. However, your data will remain on the Knowledgeshare system (for two years) so that you can be reassigned to another library service if you move trusts. If you prefer to be permanently deleted from the system, please notify us.
We will keep non-identifiable data about library service usage for as long as is necessary to submit statistics to Health Education England and to compile our annual report.
The Library service has a legal basis for processing your data, as we cannot provide the service without the processing mentioned.
Can I ask for my data to be deleted?
Yes, you have the right to ask to be forgotten. You can email papworth.library@nhs.net at any time and ask to be deleted from our system. If you do not have any items on loan, we will delete your account within 7 working days of receiving your request.
If you request for your account to be deleted and you have items on loan, we will keep your data until the items have been returned. After the items have been returned, we will delete your account within 7 working days.
If you wish for your Knowledgeshare account to be permanently deleted (rather than unassigned on the system), you can email papworth.library@nhs.net and we will delete your account within 7 working days.
Sharing your data
By registering for Knowledgeshare, you agree to your data being held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Legislation 2018 on the shared NHS library management system to which this library contributes and KnowledgeShare. By accepting these terms and considtions, you acknowledge that you understand that your information may be accessible to library staff at other NHS and partner organisations within the shared library management consortium to enable loans of other libraries' materials. You understand that your data will not be shared with any other third party.

You will receive an email notification when your account has been added to Knowledgeshare. When new evidence is published in the area of your professional interest, Knowledgeshare will send you an evidence alert.
