The PVDU is an internationally recognised centre for the investigation and management of pulmonary hypertension. It is a member of the European Reference Networks (ERN-Lung), and is also part of the working group of clinical research collaboration between the European Respiratory Society and ERN-Lung.
We are part of the UK National Pulmonary Hypertension Service and the only NHS centre in the UK that is commissioned to provide Pulmonary Endarterectomy (PEA) surgery and Balloon Pulmonary Angioplasty (BPA).
As part of Cambridge University's Medical School faculty, PVDU has established a programme of clinical and basic science research into pulmonary hypertension.
