The respiratory physiology department has a dedicated team of physiologists who work to support consultants and clinical teams across the hospital.

Patients are referred to the team from the thoracic, theatres, transplant, and research and development departments. As a regional centre, the respiratory physiology department also provides an outpatient service for advanced test referrals from other hospitals in the area. Patients can expect to receive high-quality tests in a supportive, professional environment.
