Royal Papworth Hospital has gained Future-Focused Finance (FFF) Level 2 accreditation.
FFF is a national programme designed to support staff by engaging everyone in improving NHS finance. It aims to give recognition to NHS organisations that have the best finance skills development practices in place.
Level 2 represents the middle of three tiers and demonstrates that the hospital has this culture in place organisation-wide. It is issued following peer assessment from another accredited organisation.
Tim Glenn, Chief Finance and Commercial Officer at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, said: "The whole team has worked so hard to achieve this accreditation. I’m so pleased that the NHS Finance Leadership Council have recognised our progress."
Meanwhile, the finance team has also been shortlisted in three categories at the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) National Healthcare Finance Awards 2021:
Deputy Finance Director of the Year
Sophie Harrison
Working with Finance - Clinician of the Year
Dr Mike Davies
Havelock Award
Royal Papworth Hospital
The Havelock Award recognises a significant contribution made towards finance skills development. It recognises best practice in the training and development of finance staff or the raising of financial awareness and skills within the wider non-financial workforce.
