The group had the chance to meet teams across the hospital including nursing, physiology, transplant, critical care, communications and finance – finding out about the 350 different career choices that are available in the NHS.
Nicola Taylor, Talent for Care Officer, organised the programme. She said: “All of the pupils chose to come and spend their work experience week at Royal Papworth Hospital. Some of them were particularly interested in a career in the NHS – for example as a physiotherapist – whereas others were open-minded and just wanted to learn about what kind of jobs are available.
"Many teams from across the Trust put a lot of time and effort into preparing presentations or activities for the group and I’d like to say a huge thank you to them. Hopefully we’ll see some of the pupils joining the NHS in the future."
